The Krishnamurti Educational Centre of Canada’s retreat centre in British Columbia which offers a supportive context for spiritual inquiry, self-awareness and transformative insight. The retreat centre is not dependent on any belief or religious traditions.
The Krishnamurti Educational Centre of Canada (KECC)’s mandate is to circulate the timeless wisdom of J. Krishnamurti. It also provides a space for the exploration of truth and self-transformation through reflection, inquiry and dialogue and welcomes and supports those seeking self-knowledge as well as a fundamental revolution of the mind.
Retreat guests have full use of the lovely grounds which constitute 32 acres of ocean-front property, offering stunning views of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the snow-capped Olympic mountains of Washington State. Retreaters will also enjoy nature trails which wind through meadows, forest and along the scenic coastline.
KECC started in 1977 as the “Wolf Lake School”, a school based on the teachings of J. Krishnamurti, who visited the school in 1978. In the early 1980s it became, with his approval, an adult retreat centre in British Columbia.
