The Journey of Awakening (Part I)

This residential weekend retreat will take place May 13-15, 2011 at the Swanwick Centre in Metchosin, located in a magnificent 32 acre ocean-front setting on the outskirts of Victoria, B.C. on Vancouver Island.

It will be of interest to those curious about the meaning and significance of spiritual awakening. It is the first of two weekend retreats on the stages of the spiritual journey. You can attend one, the other, or both.

This retreat will include talks by Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, J.Krishnamurti and Mooji on key aspects of the spiritual quest for freedom and truth and the power of presence, self-inquiry and insight.

Included teachings, on DVD, will be complemented with opportunities for shared inquiry and reflection, guided meditation, movement sessions and other supporting activities.

A Supportive Environment

The Centre’s beautiful natural setting is ideally suited for deeper enquiry and the emergence of stillness. To optimize this process and minimize distractions, participants will be asked to maintain silence during part of the retreat.

The Facilitators

This retreat is facilitated by Ralph Tiller and David Bruneau. Ralph is the Centre's program manager and directs a holistic health practice in Victoria. David is a teacher of rebalancing and meditation in Victoria. Both have a longterm connection with Swanwick Centre and Krishnamurti's teaching, and have been co-hosting retreats there.
