“Fear is one of the greatest problems in life. A mind that is caught in fear lives in confusion, in conflict, and therefore must be violent, distorted and aggressive. It dare not move away from its own patterns of thinking, and this breeds hypocrisy. Until we are free from fear, climb the highest mountain, invent every kind of God, we will always remain in darkness…”
Fear is one of the most dominant factors in our life… human beings have been living with this fear for thousands of years… all the wars, violence, aggressiveness are the result of this pre-dominating feeling of fear. Most of our activities, education, jobs and relationships are governed and corrupted by this psychological fear. Am I actually aware of this fear? Throughout life, fear remains hidden under my constant drive for security… In this talk followed by an interaction, Mukesh Gupta is going to explore this fundamental question of fear in our daily existence.
Mukesh Gupta has been exploring the teachings of J. Krishnamurti, Buddha and other teachers for more than two decades while living in Varanasi, India. He regularly facilitates self-enquiry retreats, workshops and dialogues around the world on fundamental questions of life.
This meeting serves as an introduction to the online event on self-inquiry and meditative dialogues, hosted by KECC, that he will be holding from June 25-30 on Facing a World in Crisis.
