Having initially been deeply affected by the teachings of Krishnamurti, Scott, a lawyer by profession, started holding satsang-type meetings. For years he sat in the front of the room handing out concepts about awakening and using pointers, without a lot of participation from the audience. This is the style of meeting that is most common in the spiritual scene. After watching so many people follow teachers around for years in these kinds of formats, without having the direct experience of spiritual awakening for themselves, Scott began trying something new. He began using a certain tool (the Unfindable Inquiry) that people could explore on their own, without the teacher. This tool grew into what Scott now calls "the Living Inquiries," in which participants can have one-on-one time with the Inquiries, if they like.

Scott is now using these tools in meetings across North America (see www.kiloby.com). This change in his approach has blossomed into a much more effective teaching, where people don't simply cling to more concepts dolled out by the teacher, but rather discover freedom for themselves. His sessions and meetings became more successful right away, with testimonials from people who were much more satisfied with this new approach. Scott's approach has also broadened to include elements that are relevant to people's actual lives, including work with relationships and addiction.

With these Inquiries, Scott helps participants target exactly where they feel stuck in their lives, where they are still seeking and identifying with thoughts, and overlooking the basic freedom of presence. Come taste this new and unique approach to the deepest human freedom possible – freedom from self.
