J.Krishnamurti during his long spiritual life urged people not to seek a guru or religious tradition but instead to inquire within our own consciousness, to ‘see’ directly what is preventing us from making a leap into an entirely new mind, a new dimension of awareness, where conflict, fear and anxiety can dissolve.
Richard and Deborah have been taking people on a journey to ‘see’ for themselves how human consciousness itself is the source of our suffering, our worries, regrets and fears. For the past 15 years they have been holding the sacred space of bringing about Krishnamurti’s strong urging to create deep inter-active group self-inquiry within an atmosphere of affection and trust that will allow people to inquire together into the nature, structure and above all, the limitations of human consciousness.
Krishnamurti made it clear that no guru or religious tradition can affect our transformation, our awakening, by transmission. But by entering into in-depth intense inquiry with a group of like-minded people willing to share insights together, we can potentially have a ‘direct perception’ and ‘see’ for ourselves how our patterns of belief act unconsciously on a daily-basis to severely limit our sense of being fully alive. This potentially life-changing form of self-inquiry is many times more revealing, more powerful and direct than trying to self-inquire alone.
Join us in our exploration to discover for ourselves the possibility to dissolve conflict, anxiety, worry, fear and regret, to dissolve the illusion of ‘time’ and separation; to have a direct sense of the presence of timelessness as energetic aliveness. Krishnamurti shared the insight that we do not have to postpone being totally free and fully alive right here and now.
At the end of his life Krishnamurti was convinced that ‘listening and seeing’ at a deep level is all that is necessary for a transformation of consciousness to take place, an awakening that releases energy trapped in resistance and conflict. During our 3 days together we will explore the radical nature of ‘listening and seeing’.
We will also explore the always arising, aways fresh and eternally new ‘what is’, the dimension of wholeness, experiencing together wholeness as a living, healing presence of love.
Krishnamurti’s prescient insights urging us to birth a new mind is more important now in these turbulent times so that we can meet whatever challenges arise inwardly or outwardly with complete freedom and deep insight.
The weekend will include a video of Krishnamurti in dialogue. Vegetarian meals will be provided.

Richard and Deborah studied with Native American shaman elders for many years before discovering the life-transforming work of J.Krishnamurti. Besides facilitating for the past 15 years, two 8-day fully-immersive group self-inquiry Intensives, in June and October, for the Krishnamurti Foundation of America in Ojai, California, they also facilitate weekend intensives for the KECC on Vancouver Island, and the Krishnamurti Committee of Copenhagen Denmark. They also engage in the study of ancient spiritual texts, including non-dual philosophies as well as scientific research on human consciousness. Both are active artists, while Deborah is also a practicing poet. They live and work in Ojai, California.
