BODYMEDITATION AND KRISHNAMURTI: Attentive Listening

A workshop with Oda Lindner

Feb 11 – 13, 2022  (Fri – Sun: 4 – 6 pm PT)

We do not listen. There are too many noises about us; inside us, there is too much talk, too much questioning, too much demanding, too many urges, compulsions. We have so many things and we never listen to any one of them completely, totally, to the very end.…

Learn about yourself by watching yourself. There’s great beauty in that. Then you will find out in watching what it means to be aware, to be attentive, and from that you can act totally.…..

If you listened totally and completely then that very act of listening has produced in the mind a movement which is not the activity of the self.

Krishnamurti

During this workshop we will be carefully listening to how we move and think. By reducing the noises from the outside and inside – and in following some precise sets of movement that Krishnamurti himself may have practiced – we will learn about ourselves by watching both body and mind closely.

The art of listening entails that we drop all expectations and listen to our habits and compulsions with complete attention. This deep, direct listening can produce in the mind a state that is not an activity of the self.
