Buddha’s Realization and Krishnamurti’s Insight
A weekend with Michael Mendizza
July 26-28, 2019 (Fri. 7 pm – Sun. 4:30 pm)
This retreat will focus on exploring the wisdom of Buddhism and Krishnamurti, with special reference to “Always Awakening: Buddha’s Realization and Krishnamurti’s Insight”, a newly published record of Michael Mendizza’s conversations with Samdhong Rinpoche, eminent Buddhist scholar and close associate of both the Dalai Lama and Krishnamurti.
The themes explored will include:
- What is enlightenment?
- What are the teachings?
- The limitations of Thought
- Was Krishnamurti a Buddha?
- Concept or experience?
- Insight and Intelligence
- The ending of time
- Living the teachings
Supported by videos, interviews with and about Krishnamurti, and highlights from Always Awakening, Michael will explore these themes and share over forty years of personal experience with these two renowned luminaries.
