UNFOLDING CONFLICT

A 5-day dialogue workshop with Jackie McInley
November 23-27, 2022 (Wednesday – Sunday, 10 am Pacific Time)

“So are we together being aware of all the complexities of conflict, not denying it. It is there, it is there as actually as pain in the body. Are we aware without any choice that it is so and at the same time ask the question as to whether there is a different approach altogether?”
J.Krishnamurti

Am I aware if I am in conflict with others? What is actually happening when we engage together in dialogue? Do I automatically create images and opinions about others in the group? What happens in my relationships with others in my everyday life? Does the source of conflict originate in “that person”, in me, or in thinking itself? Can we discover the various factors of conflict in operation within ourselves?

Our examination might be more tentative when we realise that we are examining from the same network of thinking that produced the problem in the first place. We, the “examiners” are the “examined” as Krishnamurti might say.

This five-day series of dialogues is proposed as an invitation for quiet listening, inner reflection and self discovery. By slowing down, suspending and examining our hard held thoughts or automatic responses, can we “see” together what is normally outside our everyday awareness?

Our intention is not to discuss conflict intellectually, not to have somebody tell us what conflict is – no guide, teacher or facilitator to instruct us – but to examine the nature of conflict unfolding in exploration together.

The Facilitator:

Jackie McInley founded and ran an independent Krishnamurti centre called Open Door in Southern France from 2004 until 2013 – hosting monthly inquiry weekends and annual international gatherings in French and English. She organized an experimental David Bohm bi-monthly dialogue meeting for 4 years in a local market town, and later a Krishnamurti dialogue group in the city of Toulouse.

She also visits, facilitates dialogues and gives talks in the Krishnamurti Foundations, centres & schools in USA, UK and India.

Jackie does not follow any particular spiritual teaching but is deeply interested in the investigative talks & dialogues of J.Krishnamurti as a mirror and friend to her own constant inner inquiry.
