WHAT IS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER?

A 5-day dialogue workshop with Jackie McInley

November 24-28, 2021 (Wed – Sun: 10 am PT, 1 pm ET, 18:00 GMT, 19:00 CET)

“Only in Relationship can you know yourself, not in abstraction and certainly not in isolation. The movement of behavior is the sure guide to yourself. It’s the mirror of your consciousness; this mirror will reveal its content, the images, the attachments, the fears, the loneliness, the joy and sorrow. Poverty lies in running away from this, either in its sublimations or its identities.”
J.Krishnamurti

Program Description

I assume I already know what my relationship with my friends – my lover, my boss, my family, my wife – is. Can I discover the actual connection of my relationships? What is taking place now between us, which is beyond what I already assume to be true? Together as a group, can we see the fact of our conclusions and expectations revealing themselves as they are occurring? And, is any change possible?

What is the connection in relationship itself, made of? Is that connection love? Is it care or affection? Or, is the interplay of most relationships, based on the ideas and images we project onto each other; either positive or negative? Is the narrow, calcified fact of these limited relationships, blocking and affecting the flow of my whole life and the whole network of society?

In our online workshop, we shall be bringing out and laying bare these questions as well as many more that our group holds and conceals within ourselves. As we dialogue, our intention is observation rather than speculation. Do I already know about what is being questioned and observed? Or can I discover the content of relationship, as the dialogue unfolds?

During this delicate process of self discovery together, we may uncover that our own revelations are concealed yet common also within the group – as well as camouflaged in the world as a whole. Do I care enough to begin with exposing – honestly and simply, with affection and quiet listening – the lies and self deceptions I carry in my thoughts about others?

For those interested, we are going to find out together. Not intellectually. Not merely at the verbal level. But deeply challenging our fixed perceptions of ourselves, life and relationship.
