The Somatic Self
This two-hour workshop is an introduction to “The Somatic Self”, a blend of exercises that meld together somatic awareness, freedom in breath and movement, and allowing more inner impulses to show in direct connection with others, leading to a more complete relationship in the moment. It is based around Krishnamurti’s principle that true change does not come from trying to change, but from allowing what is there to flower so it can be seen by the flame of awareness.
The work comes from both the traditions of mindfulness and from the somatic elements of expressive arts training.
